Undergraduate Academic Advising Council (UAAC)

John Moore (Chair)
Dean of Undergraduate Education

Karen Aceves (contact)

The Undergraduate Academic Advising Council (UAAC) is sponsored by the Executive Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs and the Dean of Undergraduate Education. The UAAC is comprised of staff who provide academic advising services at the undergraduate level in academic departments and programs and in the seven colleges. The group meets regularly to discuss a broad range of issues affecting academic advising, and to exchange information, share best practices, and solve problems. The meetings provide a forum for networking and professional development.

The individual members of this group have a wealth of knowledge and experience. As the UAAC, they are a visible and recognized campus resource, speaking and working as a collective to help improve academic advising services and address related issues that may impact the quality of the undergraduate experience.

The Council meets in November, December, February, March, April and June. The May meeting is an extended meeting for College/Department/Program Advisors. The meetings will be held via Zoom until further notice. Please see the schedule for the upcoming year below.
